Masterplan and Infrastructure Strategy | Greenock
Dress for the Weather worked with S+P Architects to produce the 'East-Central Greenock' Masterplan for Inverclyde Council. The project consisted of two key strands: one a development strategy for the post-industrial inner core of Greenock, the other; a responsive framework that would allow smaller social interventions to be developed in tandem with larger scale works.
Large scale sectional drawings were taken through the project area in order to identify the wider functional make up of the town; but also to give an idea of the type of opportunities that may arise for the social interventions.
The strategy was designed to be flexible enough to accommodate a range of varying developments from various housing associations and stakeholders while also promoting a quality urban environment.
